I got caught shoplifting at a store. Cops were called I got taken . Finger prints and picture was taken . This is my first offense ever ! I am 23 . Idk what I wS thinking or if I was even thinking at the moment . I don't really have the money to get a lawyer . I do have a court date . I go to school and work please advise !

Plead not guilty and request a Public defender. When you talk to this Attorney ask about plea options like ACD or Diversion. It would also be wise to remove store name from post

Stop stealing, plead not guilty. Request a public defender, wait, and for your future, STOP STEALING.

Agree that you need to request a public defender since you cannot afford a lawyer. He/she will get you the best outcome possible. Plead not guilty & talk only to the public defender assigned.
