Multiple mistakes on ticket

My boyfriend was pulled over in VA, he lives in NC, for running a stop sign (he didn't run it, I was with him). He came to a stop.

The cop asked if I had a curfew. I'm 27 years old.

On the ticket, the date was wrong. He is a CDL holder and that box wasn't checked on the ticket. He's a truck driver.

Also, there were mistakes made and they were just scribbled out, without being initialed.

If he actually drives a truck for a living, any ticket on your record can be a problem. In addition, this will be reported back to NC and his insurance will increase. If he can appear in court, he can probably negotiate for a dismissal with payment of court costs. If not an attorney can do the same and usually runs about 300.00. Probably cheaper that the insurance increase.
