Hi everybody

ok, I recently found out, that my baby's father, whom I have been with on and off for about 8 years now, had been arrested for selling meth to a undercover, after me telling him to please stop. He didn't listen..

His charges are: DELIVERY OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE SCH I,II (NARCOTIC OR METHAMPHETAMINE) L

and it also shows on the inmate list for Benton County, Arkansas another charge...which i think is the same..?? it is as follows: DELIVERY OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE SCH I,II (NARCOTIC OR METHAMPHETAMINE) L

He was already a felon, for something He did a while back, back in the 70's I think.... anyway, What is the outlook, possibilities for this?

Does He have to go to prison for more then 5 years as I am thinking?

He was picked up on 3/14/08... and it's 4/28/08 now... I am not even sure if He's had court..

I would go see Him and talk to Him about things, but I too have a bench warrant, for something that my Probation Officer is going to drop soon. As I am doing what I am supposed to do, now.

please can someone help?

thanks in advance....

Samantha

What, exactly, are you seeking? He's likely going to go to prison, and you may not be far behind unless the court recalls the warrant for you.

Your baby is very likely to be raised by others if you don't make some better decisions.

Why do you want to talk to him? Since I doubt he's paying child support, there really is no good reason to associate yourself with him.

my probation officer, up in Missouri....very complicated... lol the one who is helping me, unlike the one down here in arkansas, who filed for the revocation, PO in Missouri said that, if I continue to pay my fines and what not, then She's going to ask the judge to drop the revocation and warrant. I have less then a year, about roughly 10 months to go...

anyway,
I want to talk to Him, because...yes I love Him, He had quit doing drugs and stuff like this, for a while...then I left Him, again, He went back again...and got caught....

how long does He have to stay in prison? for a charge like that?

How long he has to stay is a complicated question ... it could be for the balance of the past charges PLUS the time sentenced on the new charges.

You do realize that even if you love him, allowing a repeat offender back into your life in the presence of your child is likely to catch the attention of child services. Plus, the likelihood of you falling back on bad habits increases greatly when you are with a person who is using. You may have to choose between him and your child.

Go get some counseling, get strong in your recovery, and learn to live for yourself and for your child. It's likely that your man is going to be gone a while. How long will depend entirely on the specific offenses he faces.
