Trademark My business name being used by someone from Finland on YouTube.

I incorporated a small media company in 2009, and recently wanted to form a YouTube channel, but found the name was already in use. The YouTube users are a couple of kids from Finland. They joined YT in 2011 and they post self-produced videos. Well, that's what my business will be doing.

I'm going to trademark the business name. What will it take to start the process of getting the YouTube name changed or released to me? Will it be worth it?

They're in Finland. You can forget a lawsuit, unless you want to travel to Finland. Even if you do, all you'll end up with is a pleasant stay in a very beautiful, clean country.

Many people that encounter this issue simply purchase the name and the rights to said name from the other party. It's much easier to negotiate than it is to litigate.

YouTube won't care, but you can whine to YouTube. They'll decide if the little kids go or stay.
