When my mom passed away this year I was able to view her will at our local court house. I understand it is in probate for 1 year. Our father died over 10 years ago so anything she owned only concerned the 3 of us. Upon reading her will I discovered she had named only 1 child to take care of her affairs and this child receives everything she owns. I am the oldest child, the youngest was the one who receives everything. I was hurt mom left myself and other sibling out of her will, we are however listed as heirs. I thought mom and I had a good relationship but we never talked about her death and what she planned to leave to anyone. I understand from another family member my youngest sibling has already moved into my mom home. My youngest sibling has never told me anything about mom's will infact have not talked with her since mom's death. My question this will was signed and dated more than 7 years ago, do they need to be updated and how can we be sure this was her last will, this will was wrote up by a lawyer. Do we have any rights since we are her children as well?

You can check with the attorney to see if there is an updated will. Otherwise the probate court will accept the will that has been filed.
