My name was published in a minor civil case which went straight from a summery judgment to Appeals court. The court ruled against me and published their opinion. Then it got bounced around from legal blog to legal blog being rewritten so its at the top of any google search for my name. My lawyers dissolved their practice during the case so they are not around. I was told eventually it would go away in a couple of years but it still up there. Is there anything I can do?
The court's decision just lifted the wording straight from the defendant which as you can imagine paints me in the worst possible light without any rebuttal. When HR or Recrutiers Google my name, its the first thing that comes up and I and never call back. Is there a way to ask the court to have the records sealed? Publish my own side of the story?
Usually cases have just the last name on the title, but for some reason its both my fist and last name and my medical condition. As a lawyer, what would you do if this happened to you?
