my partner recently died and he has not left a will, we have been together for 12 years but i have not divorsed my husband from before him so i am still leagly marrid to him and not my partner that has died. i have been trying to find out where this leaves me in regards to his estate, as he has two grown up children. we have a joint bank account, there is a car in his name and he has some bonds and things. we live in a council house there is no problem there but what about the items that are in the house and belonged to him. would like a bit of information if possible. thanks

You won't likely find anyone here that is familiar enough with UK law to give you an answer for certain- however if you are still legally married to someone else then odds are that you have no claim whatsoever to the estate without a will in place. You need to speak with a local attorney for the best info.

You have no standing to his estate.
By the laws of intestacy everything legally stands to be inherited by his children.
