My son will be 17 on Sept. 5. His girlfriend will be 16 on Nov. 3. He is going to move in with her the day after his birthday. Her Grandparents, with whom she lives, are OK with this, as a matter of fact, I think they are all for it! I am told that 17 is the legal age in Missouri, where we live. I guess I can do nothing about him moving out. I am however, kind of afraid that they might try to get child support out of me, or something like that, can they do that? And what kind of responsibility will I have for him since he won't live with me? Also, they have come to me and asked if I will sign for them to get married. I do not want to do this, but if I decide to, then will I still be responsible for him, and will I be responsible for her too? I am very scared about this whole situation and any advice from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

He has not yet reached age of majority so yes your still accountable for him. However MO has some very odd and unclear statutes in regards to emancipation and/or situations like yours. I would urge you to consult an Attorney over this if you have questions. If your not ok with this then do not agree. In fact you do not have to give him any property (clothing etc) you paid for.
