My wife wants to buy our home

My wife and I have separated. The family home is in my name (mortgage/deed.) She's in the home with our kids and I'm renting.

We are likely heading for divorce, but want to give it some time before making the final decision.

She wants to buy the family home from me.


Is this possible?



I could then buy another place for myself.

Whatever happens needs to be finalized in the divorce. I doubt that she could get a mortgage in her name alone but dicsuss it with an attorney first. I suggest a formal separation agreement with structured maintenance and support.
