I have a 18 year old grandson who was stopped on a seat belt violation. There were two 17 year olds in the vehicle also. They had a joint of marijuana in the car and were issued tickets for possession of marijuana and paraphemalia.This happened in Rockingham North Carolina. All three live in VA and none of them have ever been in trouble before. This is a first offense for all three.
Can someone tell me what the probable result will be in court on this? Should they plead guilty or should we obtain the servicies of a lawyer?
