Just wondering if North Carolina requires a couple to have been married for a certain length of time in order for a spouse to be able to recieve alimony. Thanks for you help!

It depends on the length of the marriage and each persons incomes. Alimony is almost never awarded in short term marriages, i.e a couple of years. If any is granted for a short marriage it generally will be very brief.

My husband was court ordered to give 1/2 his Boilermaker Pension to his ex-wife who has since passed away. Is there a way to get a court order to restore this 1/2 to my husband?
