NC driver speeding in Virginia

charged with 82 in 65. Does VA offer a deferrment of judgement similar to NC's prayer for judgement? Any suggestions for keeping points off of insurance? Thanks.

Were you charged with reckless? Anything over 80 is usually a reckless violation in VA.

Then you got lucky. You need to get this down below the 15mph over ticket since that will result in a suspension. If you have a clean record, go to the DMV and get a certified copy to show to the ADA when you go to court. They will probably work with you for a reduction. If you cannot appear or if they will not reduce the ticket, you need an attorney to help you avoid the suspension.
