Hey,

I just got a ticket for going 90 in a 70 on I40 in Mocksville. I currently live in NC but have a CA license. I was literally going to DMV the next day before this happened. I turn 25 on Oct. 5 and my court date is not until Oct 21. I was going to wait to get my license and insurance turned over to NC until after I turn 25.

On the ticket there is a "D.L." and "D.C.I." checked. Futhermore, down near the bottom it reads, Area: OC, Wea.:C, Vis: C, Traffic: L, Speed: "R (Maybe a D, cant really tell) 90 M"

What kind of consequences do I face? Should I hire a lawyer? Do I go to court myself? Any help would be great. Thanks!

You are facing a suspension of you licence in NC and a misdemeanor conviction, a very large increase in your insurance. You need a lawyer in minimize the impact. Search the posts here for more info.
