I have a question...I am in the US Navy and have been brought up on charges but I'm wondering if NCIS did an Illegal search and seizure. First off, I want to say that they didn't have a search warrant issued either from the Military nor civillian law enforcement. The civillian police weren't involved in this in any way either. They came to my house when i wasn't there but my Fiancee was. They were pounding on the door and windows just saying open the door, never once identifying themselves. When my wife finally did unlock the bolt....didn't open the door or even touch the door knob...they pushed open the door and entered my appartment and proceeded to look inside closed closets. Later on they found items in here. Would this amount to an Illegal Search and Seizure??

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

No one has any thoughts?? By the way, The military has to go by the same laws civillians do when a service member lives in a private residential complex....Which i do. I realize that if i lived in military housing they can enter and search my house anytime they want under the "Health and Comfort" law. So ignore the whole military thing and make believe that NCIS were the police and didn't have a search warrant. Were they allowed to enter my house without identifying themselves or asking permission and then proceeding to search my house without permission. Will anything they find later be considered "Illegal search and seizure" ?
