My 34 yr old sister was charged in Pennsylvania with 2 counts of possesion of cocaine with intent to deliver and one count each of posession of cocaine and conspiracy to commit delivery of cocaine. This is a little town in Pennsylvania and the charges were filed by the Attorney General's Bureau of Narcotics investigation and Drug Control after testimony from a confidential informant. Her boyfriend was also charged with the same offences but he has 10 different counts. All I know about the law and especially drugs is what I see on TV but it all sounds pretty terrible to me. I live in Texas and have had no contact with my sister as of yet..I will be relocating back to Pennsylvania in mid April. The boyfriend is in jail but my sister was released after posting bond (she has NEVER been arrested before). Apparently her boyfriend arranged the sales by telephone (there were 5 of them) and she conducted the transactions. I am 7 years older than my sister and have never even seen her take a drink so I am sure she is not on drugs (well, almost sure)...her addictions have always been men and money. As well as calming down my 2 nephews, I am trying to comfort my mother who is, of course, distraught and I am just trying to get some general information. My sister lost her job about a month ago when she failed to report off while on a trip with this "boyfriend" so I know that does not bode well for her. I will eventually talk to her about this, right now I am just so upset that she could be this stupid, but in the meantime I need to know what she needs to do, other than of course, hire a great attorney. Is there any sort of possibilty that she could get off with just probation only???
Just reaching out for any sort of help or advice.
