i am being summoned to court by a credit card co.. i owe about 1200.00 dollars.i live in n.y. .i am unemployed with no immediate prospects,my wife was supporting us both. she is now on disability {pancreatic cancer} we rent , no car, my wifes checking acct. i have power of attny on my wifes checking acct. she also has a small ira with ameritrade 11,000.00
can the credit card co. go after her funds? no cards were issued in her name she has her own cards.
