i just got married and my wife was living with my sister when i met her i come to find out my sister used my wife she(my sister) told my wife if my wife got some credit cards for her she would pay the bills so my wife did she also cosigned a new car for her and none of the credit card bills have ben paid and now we are getting letters that car payment is not being paid what options do me and my wife have to get her name off credit cards and car payment i belive most cards and the car are in both names

If your sister can't pay the bill's she owes then she more than likely can't afford to pay any judgment you may get as well.
The first thing to do is contact all of the credit granting agency(s) and explain the situation. Agree to make good on the payment(s) but have the sister excluded from using the accounts any longer and running up the debt. If a car is involved then your options are limited. to get the car back you may have to go to court.
The bill collectors are not going to "just go away" You need to talk to them and work out a plan that may help save your credit.
