STEPFATHER AND MOTHER ARE IN PRISON AND I HAVE POWER OF ATTORNEY OF MY MOTHER. NOONE HAS POWER OF ATORNEY OF MY STEPFATHER. THERE IS A LOT OF PROPERTY THAT BELONGS TO MY STEPFATHER. MY BROTHER(WHICH IS MY STEPFATHERS SON FROM HIS 1ST MARRIAGE) LISTED SOME THINGS FOR SALE. AFTER I FOUND OUT ABOUT IT, I CONTACTED THE BUYERS TO LET THEM KNOW THEY WOULD HAVE TO CONTACT ME AND BUY FROM ME. I THEN WENT AND PUT FOR SALE SIGNS ON EVERYTHING WITH MY CONTACT INFORMATION. EVEN WITH THE SIGNS HE STILL SOLD SOME THINGS TO PEOPLE AND ACTUALLY PROVIDED BILL OF SALES TO EACH BUYER. HE FEELS BECAUSE I ONLY HAVE P.O.A. OF MY MOTHER THAT HE HAS JUST AS MUCH RIGHTS TO SELL THE THINGS AS I DO. SOME OF THIS STUFF HAS TITLES AND/OR REGISTRATION NUMBERS. SO HERE ARE MY ?'s I NEED ANSWERED...

1. DOES HE HAVE THE RIGHT TO SELL THESE THINGS BASED ON HE'S THE NATURAL CHILD OF MY STEPFATHER?

2. CAN I LEGALLY GO AFTER HIM FOR SELLING ITEMS. IF SO, ON WHAT GROUNDS?

3. WHAT ARE THE LIMITS OF MY P.O.A. AND WHAT DO THEY INTITLE?

4. DOES MY STEPBROTHER OWE ME ANY MONIES HE'S RECEIVED AS A RESULT OF SELLING THINGS?

No one can sell your step father's items without his consent. He should contact his lawyer about his son; there is nothing you can do on his behalf. If he is selling your mother's things then contact the police. You're POA tell you your limits. Contact a lawyer for a consultation.

thankyou for your reply
one more ?
what if i have used my power of attorney to transfer the titles in my name?
that would mean he is stealing from me?

You could only transfer what is in your mother's name as you do not have POA for step father. Also, your POA would have to give you the power to do so first. Once again your step father has to take action against the son if he doesn't want his property sold and the son doesn't have the authority to do so.
