My wife had her picture taken over the internet without her consent. We are currently in Minnesota. She was setting up the computer for my stepdaughter to talk to her biological father in California. As she was setting it up he took a picture of her in a bath towel. Is this sort of harassment grounds to have his right to talk to her online changed, withdrawn or limited in any way. Is there anything else we can do to get the message across that this is not ok?

The father is allowed contact/visitation with the child. Telephone calls are sufficient for that. I doubt anybody ever said you are obligated to set up cameras on the computer. He wasted no time abusing that privilege... remove the camera.

At the same time, your wife put herself in front of that camera while wearing only a towel... and she obviously knew who was on the receiving end... she easily could have avoided this.

What has the ex done with the photo? How do you know it even exists? Technically he didn't do anything wrong by taking the picture... that is an opportunity she consented to when she set the connection up. What he does with the photo could change things though.

Anyway- disconnect the thing. No more cameras. Let him use the phone during reasonable hours.
