I need to know is there a way to cancel a divorce. Long story short my ex filed for divorce almost 2 years ago & never finished paying his attorney. I hired an attorney but when we try to go to court his attorney blocks it. Is there a loop hole anywhere that I can use to void his claim & file for divorce myself? My attorney is honestly not much help & being a single mom with 3 kids money is tight. This case is not budging with him payin his attorney & when I contact his attorney & offer to make payments on it, he won't accept it. Please help

You can cross-claim using the original divorce under which he filed.

People do that all the time.

That way, you've already satisfied any waiting period as the original divorce was filed 2 years ago.

Thanks so much. I'll try that. I am just at my wit's end with this.

When you do that, you can get the case calendared.
You'll also be able to get it moving.
One final thing, most people don't know, in Texas you can get a jury trial to resolve your divorce.
It won't cost you any more money, and juries are very sympathetic to people who have been wronged by their spouses!
