I sold a guy my xbox 360, 2 controllers, 6 games, and the wireless internet piece in July of 06. We made a verbal agreement that he gave me $250 upfront then would give me the rest in payments over the next 2 months which the total was $700. He paid me the $250 then made a couple of payments afterwards. It came where he owed me $250 left and he disappears. So I call this guy like 10 times he finally answers on a monday and tells me he will have my money on Sat. So I go and meet him he gives me $120 and says thats all he has he'll give me the rest in a week. So I let him go and he won't answer my calls or anything and he still owes me $130. Now it is December and I still don't have my money or my xbox 360. What can I do in this case. I just want the system back cause he is unemployed now and I'll never get the money. Please help.

In this case, if he has no dough, then you are right; you will never see anything else.

You probably should file this under NEVER GIVE CREDIT and take it as a life lesson.

well not the answer i was looking for but i do appreciate the honesty senior judge.

Same advice I gave one of my kids about twenty years ago in a very similar situation!

yeah last time i sell something to someone i know with out getting it in writing.

If you sell on credit and get it in writing and the person does not pay, you still have nothing.

Think about it.

Remember: do not sell on credit.
