The detective want my son to come in for question concerning a robbery in his car. I was told by the detective that my son wasn't the person driving and that he wasn't id as being in the car. The problem I have is that the car that was used in the robbery is the same car that I have tried to get the title for. Harrisbury sent me a letter stating that the car is listed as stolen but when I called the detective he said that it not stolen he put a hold on the car for wanted so that mean I cannot get the title for this car until my son go to the policestation and talk to this detective about who had his car and in the mean while I have received 2 ticket for expired inspection that $41.00 piece. The detective said I will continue on getting these ticket until my son give him a name. I don't think is fair because no one is driving this car it has been park outside my house. If anyone can point me in the right direction please let me know.

Thank you,:)

What is the issue w/ just having your son go in and talk to them?-- if his hands are clean then there should be no issue-- Unless he has something to hide--

If your state allows the police to place a hold on vehicles for which there is an investigative interest, then you may have to just suck it up until your son goes in and talks to them. If this conversation means he will be confessing to a crime or knowledge of a crime, he may want to consult an attorney. If his going in means diming off a friend he has to evaluate just how much this friendship is worth ... after all, if his friend committed a felony in your son's car his friend just set him up to potentially take the rap for the crime ... if not criminally, he could be sued by the victim, I suppose.

Perhaps your son should speak to an attorney. Anything he tells you is NOT privileged.

Is the car considered evidence? If so why wasn't it impounded. This is police intimidation and an attempt to force your son to give a statment that could incriminate him, a violation of 5th amendment. If they arrest him you get a public defender who will tell him don't say anything. Contact the state or charities for free legal counsel.

Me and my son went to the policestation and talk to the detective yesterday. My son was question and since he didn't tell the detective what he wanted to hear he was told that if he caught driving the car that it will be taken until the investigation is over. I had ask the detective to come and get the car because it sit in front of my door and he told me that he wouldn't come and get the car. I'm still getting ticket for this car because I can not get it register.

I want to thank everyone who reply to me because I didn't know I had right.

Thank you,
