Need info please

I hope somebody can give me some info about a negligent driving ticket I got the other day. I was in a wreck the other day. A white car came into my lane I swerved to miss the car and when I tried to come back in my lane I went over the line and caused a car to hit me on the back right side of my car. She was driving a white car so I thought she was the one who came into my lane but where she hit me I don't think it was her. The cop gave me a $215.00 negligent driving ticket, at that time I said but she came into my lane. He told me to take it to court and they my lower it. I found out that a guy who had stopped and was talking to the other girl said he saw me come in her lane so he is a witness. My insurance is paying for her car to fixed and I have no problem with that I just hate to have to pay for this ticket. I was wondering what my chances are at getting this lowered or dropped. Up until this point I had a perfect driving record. Thanks for any comments or advice.
