I will try to make it brief. I was arrested in 97 for a felony, but got sick and returned to texas before court was over. california issued a arrest warrant for me, it was executed and texas arrested me, took me to hospital and then called california that they had me, told them my medical issues and california that is the issuing agency making the complaint said they did not want to come for me. Texas then released me. The problem is that i am disabled now due to medical reasons, and am on disability, now after 8yrs social security wants to halt my benefits, because of this old arrest warrant is the warrant still valid? And what else can I do to help me clear this up.

Ps thanks to anyone that can give me any advice or assistance with this.

a warrant is still valid, they do not go away just because time lapses.

You really need to see an attorney, or call legal aid to get this cleared up. A felony is a serious matter and it is going to follow you around until this is cleared up.

Right, contact a lawyer

Depending on your conduct the past few years, a good atty could make this go away.

Have you been out of trouble since the incident occured?
