So my problem started about 6 months ago, when my next door neighbors started getting very loud, and they had people coming in and out of the apartment at all times during the day and at night. I can hear a lot of noise, and commotion going on.

Anyways, I've notified my landlord, and she said she would send out a letter. I've also contacted the police on several occasions. I am not the only neighbor this is affecting by the way. In February I was told that the neighbors would be evicted. Well it is now May and nothing has happened and there are constantly people over there smoking and drinking in the hallways. In the lease it states that any noise or disturbances may annoy another tenant at ANY time of the day, and reoccurance of this will be reason for eviction. They were supposed to be out by the 13th which has passed by. The last 2 nights they have been loud again. I contacted a sheriff deputy again they came out and gave them another warning, and after an hour they came out saying that "if the police are called again, I'll kick your ass" So this is the 2nd threat that i've heard through my walls.

The owner of the complex sold it to another owner which to me is unknown since they have not notified any of the tenants, and I cannot figure out who now owns the complex. The old management company will not tell me any information either.

Any advice on what I can do? I don't know what else I can do about this? Its been ongoing for the past 6 months, and no matter what action I take, nothing works.

You should write a letter to your new landlord pinpointing what you have disclosed on this posting and asking them if you can move to a different unit since the tenants from the unit adjacent to yours don't seem to be going anywhere...
Anyways, if they don't take any action regarding the tenants, care for your safety and take into account the complains you have filed against them, you should consider finding a different place to live where your safety comes first. If you decide to go ahead with moving, ask the new landlords to release you from your lease without penalty since they are not fulfulling the responsibilities stated on the lease agreement. Good Luck!

Thats the problem. I am unable to figure out who the new management is now. I've made calls but no one will answer my questions. I'm under a lease so I cannot just get up and leave. I've written letters, and have made the suggestion of moving to a different unit. But as I've stated this is affecting serveral other tenants in the same building.

Check your town public records to find out who is the new owner. You cannot speak for the other neighbors since they are not signing your letters... Good Luck!

Okay I did contact them, and was told that the two companies are in court to finish everything up. As for the other neighbors, there have been written complaints as well, along with detailed nots of times and dates that problems have occured. Thanks for your help
