I endured an extremely controlling, abusive relationship with an ex of mine. He forced the sex on me with intimidation, he would not let me leave the house without him, he would show up if I was babysitting or doing something without him, he locked me in basements, he's hit me several times and now....I'm pregnant. I'm thrilled about the baby, I've been a nanny for 12 years. But he told me, the second we found out "Good luck getting rid of me now." Almost like that was his plan, I'm terrified!
I put a protection order on him but I keep hearing when I have the baby he'll get partial visitation or custody. Why?
Why doesn't my innocent child get protected from him too? I have nightmares almost daily where he took the baby and it died in his care, a few times him laughing and saying 'oops'. I know he wants to get back with me, he's said it a hundred times, he cares nothing about this baby and KNOWS eventually he and I will have to co-parent the child.
Don't I have any way of protecting my child? I want to raise my child to be respectful, honest, loving, caring about others and the planet. Teach it how to love others and help those in need, to grow into a rounded adult who has a heart and uses it. The father doesn't have anything to offer this child, he even refuses to take child courses!
