i HAVE A FRIEND WHO HAS FILED FOR DISSOULUTION OF MARRIAGE. THE SPOUSE RESIDES OUTSIDE THE COUNTY THAT THE FILING TOOK PLACE. THE SUMMONS HAS BEEN RECIEVED BY THIS COUNTY. THE SUMMONS EXPIRES ON NOV.15 WHAT HAPPENS IF THIS GUY IS ABLE TO DODGE THE DEPUTIES PAST THE 15TH? THIS IS AN ILLINOIS CASE.

Your friend will have to serve him by publication in that case (through the newspaper). If the husband doesn't respond, the dissolution will proceed without him.
