need some legal advice about mom

in april of 2003 i moved into my parents home, due to personal problems while i was there dad was diagnoised with cancer and died in 2005 i have been taking care of my mom (she has alzhiemers unable to do anything herself)
but i have 2 broters and 2 sisters who don't come around. problem i have no POA, no legal nothing but my name is her banking account to pay bills she has a home that i purchased in 2003 with insurance money from my brother my mothers pension and ssi pay all the bills. my question is do i have any rights to do things for her medically or legally we can't afford to pay to have anything done to change our status, also do i have any legal rights to the house my name is not on the deed just mom and dad's my dad left me in the lurch when it came to legal things with mom and this house can you help me, tell me what i can do, i have no lawyer no extra money to pay for one and nothing of value here, i live in buffalo ny and don't know what else to do.

Go down to the probate court and talk to the clerk about getting guardianship. Also check with the state to see if any aid is available. As for the house, if it is in your parents name then it will go into her estate when she dies and will be split among the five of you assuming there is anything left after paying her bills. You can charge the estate for your time and efforts but be sure to keep a daily record and all invoices.

Be careful about signing anything that would make you personally liable.
