So I recently took my truck in for a water pump replacement, ( that they had replaced just 2 months previous and didnt do a good job) so i didnt pay for it, as it was their mistake. When I got my truck back the second time around, I took it out for a drive, when I hit the freeway going about 65-70 mph the hood just slammed up into my front window, cracking it and causing me to swerve and forsed me to make a dead stop, luckily I hit no one, but it could have been extremely serious. When I got out and checked the hood I examined the latch and found they had disconected it. So when it was being shut it wasn't securely latching.
This could have seriously injured or killed myself or any other drivers around me.

How do I go about suing for this?

I didnt take photos because it just looked like the hood was up, and because I didnt pay for the second repair due to it being their fault, I dont know what to do, I have not driven the truxk since, ( they also didnt fix it the second time either, and had to buy a new car because of it.

Your insurance should cover the damage to the windshield. You won't get anywhere trying to lay blame on the mechanic. You do inspect your vehicle before driving it, right?
Curious, how do you know the latch is not broken? Something like that has no practical purpose being disconnected.

Ditto, you have no evidence they did anything wrong. In fact someone foolish enough to think they could make a lawsuit out of it might disconnect it.
