So heres the situation. I live in the california bay area. I am under 21, and so are my friends. I have house partys often. Usually they are very safe, small, and controlled. So, heres the thing, what if police get a noise report form the neighbors, and come to investigate. I have a closed property with a gate, can they still enter the area? If so, what can happen? If there is no visible illegal activities visible from the street can my buddies and i still get busted if they come to check on the noise?
What are the possible problems that can occur?
Any further advice would be welcome.

Whether they will have justification to enter will depend on what they know or can articulate. If they have a noise complaint, they can generally enter the property to contact the resident. If they have a report of numerous juveniles drinking alcohol, this might also lend itself to articulable suspicion.

There really is no black and white answer here.

Note that you as the host can be charged with contributing to the delinquency of minors and arrested if anyone there is under 21 ... you can be charged with furnishing alcohol to people under 21 even if you are yourself under 21, and there are likely a host of other charges you can face. You CAN be arrested ... whether you will or not depends on how quiet and calm you can keep the festivities.
