My dog was boarded in a kennel for a week. The last day the kennel called us to say our dog escaped. We searched for over a month everywhere, put up posters, advertised on internet, etc. Never found dog. Owners of kennel first said our dog chewed through their chain link fence then altered it to maybe the fence had been vanalized and he got out that way. Several months later an ex-employee informed me it was due to negligence on one of the employees there and the owners told all employees not to say anything. We put a deposit on our dogs stay and never got it back. I'm sure we can get the deposit back but can we sue for their negligence? Can we sue the company plus the individual owners separately?
