Neighbors upstairs are harassing me and my toddler. They are pounding on my ceiling violently whenever toddler walks or runs within permitted hours. They have also gone to pounding on my ceiling for hours nonstop early in the morning and stay pounding on top of where we are in the apartment (following us) until they either leave or we do.

We spoke and given proof to management and nothing has been done.

We also are looking to move because of this.

However, currently our apartment has become unlivable due to this and we're afraid of our safety, though no threat has been given yet (just yelling).

What can be done?

If I contact police, how can I make sure they don't harm me after this, since I'm still living below them.

What are the steps in getting my right until we find another place to live in.
