I am not sure how to proceed with my neighbors of two years. From harrassing our workers (landscapers, contractors, plumbers, etc) to parking their huge SUV in front of our house for weeks at a time even though they have plenty of driveway access (they have over five cars) to blaring neo-fascist punk music directly at us, and getting the town to cut down our trees branches which is in our property line, they have kept up the harrassement. Other smaller incidents have taken place, but the kids are getting anxious as are we as they escalate their activity.
Today they called the building inspector on us for an illegal apartment they told the neighbors we built which in reality is a playroom and an office for me. We can't say anything to them anymore because they told us after the tree incident, that they have friends in town govt and not to bother them again about the tree. Sure enough we got a call from the PD within 15 minutes telling us to leave them alone because they can cut the tree down if they want. We had the zoning director investigate and he agreed that we were correct and they acted inappropriately and that the police officer was misinformed when defending his friends. We can not get a copy of the initial tree cut request because it was deemed confidential. I have a two page documentation of incidents, but what can I do with it to make them stop bothering us.
