neighbor's harassing my family

I have a total of 31 police reports against my neighbors. We asked them over a year ago to turn down the music it is very inappropriate fouled mouth rap and we have four small children, They have loud parties, smoking marijuana, drinking, talking and arguing loudly. The father of the children is not supposed to even be at the property for one because they got in to a fist fight and he was banned from coming over there and for two she is one section eight and isn't supposed to have anyone living with her. He has threatened me mostly when my husband is gone on military leave (no we do not live on base). Tonight I stepped out to record like I was advised to do. He saw me recording and he waved and his buddies laughed and turned the music up louder. I then was walking down to another neighbors house and he and his three friends started making threats against me loud enough for me to hear. I called metro police dept it has been three hours and they have not responded granted I know they are tired of coming over here but at the same time I am tired of this and he is getting to comfortable with his threats and I have myself and four small children to protect. I feel this is being brushed off by metro and they are taking it as a joke because metro comes they cut it down metro leaves they cut it up again, they do not even do anything about the fact he is not supposed to be there. Metro told me before they cannot do anything until they touch me but I thought it was against the law to make threats am I mistaken? She has also made threats against me as well even approached my youngest child's daycare worker while my child was with the worker and told her she was going to get me if I continued to call the police and record them. I have called section eight about their tenant and nothing was done. The tenant stated I was just mad because of the amount of rent we had to pay and we had a problem with her being on section eight. What are my options?

Your best option is to ignore rude, disrespectful, uncivilized, savages.

When you engage savages, it rarely ends well.

That said, until this is resolved, I wouldn't pull the tiger's tail.

Yes, it sucks to have to do that, but what if they escalate things with violence?

Tomorrow, I suggest you speak with your landlord, and ask for some assistance.

Don't argue, go hat in hand, head bowed asking for help.

Then speak with a real estate or landlord-tenant lawyer and ask about "quiet enjoyment" of your rental unit.

It might take a bit longer, but you should also speak with your elected city leaders.
