This seems to be a popular problem.
My son in Washington has signed a contract with Mitsubishi Auto.
The agreement was to trade in a Jeep Wrangler for 8000.00
The jeep is mine (the mother) and they sent me paper work to sign.
I do not want to allow this trade in and told them so.
They are now telling my son that he now has to come up with 8000.00 cash.
How are they able to complete the contract when they understood the trade in was not his and would require agreement from me ( the car owner)?
My son has been driving the car for a week and tried to take it back and get my jeep after I said no.
Please let me know if I and my son have some way to get out of the contract. I looked up some ways and "unilateral mistake" came up.
