My wife and i just had our home built in Tarrant County TX (Fort Worth). House is pretty much what we expected, but the things that weren't specifically laid out in the contract that are giving us problems. Before completion, we asked our builder what was included in sales price (Garage opener, landscape, appliances, sprinkler, window treatments, fence) so we could save extra for the things that weren't included. He advised us that appliances, fence, garage opener, landscape and sprinkler were all included in the sales price (was not mentioned anywhere in contract), but a week before we closed we learned that in fact the only thing that was included were appliances. Now we're getting in trouble with the city for mud eroding into the storm drain because we don't have enough grass to keep the dirt in place, not to mention funny looks from our neighbors. Do we have any recourse with our builder who seemingly lied to us?
