New Wife Has Old Debt

Unknown to me my new wife has several collection agencies seeking money from her. Mostly these stem from unpaid medical bills in 2005. Also, the city in California, in which she used to live, towed her car (also in 2005) for unpaid parking tickets. She never got the car out of hock (the car was paid for) or paid off the city. We now live in Louisiana. What type of attorney do I need to settle her debts???

I'm not sure she needs an attorney unless she plans on filing for bankruptcy. My suggestion is to have her get a copy of her credit report and start there. You can also contact the city to see if there is anything outstanding and get the records from the doctor/hospital. Sounds like you need more information before you get started.
