I got a ticket on Feb 9, 2008 in East Brunswick NJ.
Ok I was merging into route18 North Bound from OBTPK, the light on RT 18 just before was red, so I had no incoming trafic when I enter route 18. I went from the merging lane to the left lane using my blinker, about half a mile I proceeded to go onto the exit lane or right lane with out use of turning signal, just before the entrance to the NJTPK which I neeeded to take. From the corner of my eye I saw a strobe light so I knew that I was getting pullled over. I inmediatly pulled over into the shoulder, so I would not miss my exit to the NJTPK. To make story short he asked me the usual drivers liscense, insurance then asked me if I had anything to drink or if I was drinking like 3 or 4 times I had not. Asked me about my driving record which I'm sad to say is not clean (4pts), so he came back with a careless driving ticket (2pts). I have a court date on the 25th of March, am I going to need an attorney? What can I plead so not to get more points. I'm trying to clean my driving record so I cannot afford anymore pts
