Hi,

It is the "Fed Up Renter" again. Unfortunately, I haven't received any responses to my initial questions. Now things have gotten a little more complicated. My Landlord has filed a countersuit against me. My initial claim was filed in November 06', now the Landlord has found a lawyer :dgrin and they are countersuing me (for what, I could not imagine:confused: ).

Of course, I have requested that the countersuit claim be forwarded to me. So, I probably need a Lawyer as well now.

The brief history is:
Tenant (me) rented a basement apartment :angel
Lanlord started to harrass the Tenant
Tenant called the police
Police called the Builing Inspectors
Building inspectors issued notice to vacate to Landlord
Landlord placed tenants belongings outside in rain
Tenant called police
Police wrote up police report
Tenant is sueing for damages to property and the remainder of the amount the city did not provide for relocation
Lanlord adjourned case for diabetic reasons three times
Landlord now is countersuing over four months later

Any advise would be deeply appreciated!!!! :(

Go to court and tell your side honestly and completely.

Thank you and of course I will. Would you happen to have any information that could help me? Would my damages be covered by my Landlords homeowners insurance? Also, if at all possible could you point me to a case I could refer to (Sims vs. Vector)-so that I may do a little homework prior to court? I am dealing with two issues... Illegal eviction and an illegal apartment (zoning laws). If you could refer me to a certain section of a certain book-or perhaps a certain website that has reference capabilities for those who haven't studied law.
