Ill try to not drag this story out too much. A friend and I were leaving a party around 330 in the morning, we got pulled over and the cop said he smelt something so he asked the driver to step out of the car. The officer proceeded to ask the driver if he had anything on him, The driver said yes so the officers started searching the car meanwhile im still sitting in the car.

When the officers find the weed they then ask me to get out of the car. My buddy takes full responsibility for the weed but they search me and find nothing so the officers tell me to go sit in the back of their car. To speed this story up they eventually arrested me, brought me in, processed me, they never told me why or what i was being charged with. I sat in jail forever and they finally released us the next day. When they released us, we both received the SAME EXACT tickets...well 2 tickets and 1 summons. The 2 tickets are 1 for failure to observe a traffic signal (the supposed reason we were pulled over) and the other was operation of a motor vehicle while possessing a CDS. I dont understand how I can be given tickets for operating vehicles or going through stop lights when I wasnt even driving. The summons is also bogus in my eyes since my friend already took blame for the weed. They never asked me for a statement or anything along those lines. For all they know i could have met this kid the day it happened and he could of be taking me home from work. Why am i being screwed here? Im lost...

the drug laws are HATE CRIMES-- that is, they made laws against people they HATE (drug users).

the police messed with you because they disliked you-- you were drug users, and as such, they made up lies (smelled something in the car) and arrested you both, when they could have simply cited you and let you go.

your case will likely be thrown out or even granted time-served in a plea arrangement.

you are being screwed because those cops hate drug users-- get used to it--many people with authority and power hate drug users and you're not going to quit.

next time-- dont admit anything to a cop when he has shown an interest to investigate you-- you would have still wound up arrested and charged, but you would have felt better about yourself-- that you didnt try to be honest, hoping the officer would appreciate it. they don't--not from drug users.
