i gave my son up for adoption and found him when he was 16, his adopted parents got the judge to put a no contact order on me at that time, he was then removed from their custody and placed in to foster care where he remains at this time. He is turning 18 in two weeks and I want to know if I can contact him at this point. He has to stay in foster care until may when he graduates, so does the no contact order remain active or can we have contact after he turns 18?

When he turns 18 he is a adult and can make his own decisions. You still have to go and get the no contact order reversed but as long as he wants to see you then you guys should'nt have any problems with the judge dropping that order. Good luck.

that is what I thought but I did not know I had to get the order reversed, That gives me something to do in the mean time. I appreciate your advice and will let you know how it works out.
