Does anyone know what could happen if I drove 2,000 miles without a driver's license. I had one that was suspended and I still need to have it re-instated. I am wondering if If I was pulled over anywhere if I could have my car impounded and go to jail. Or would I just get a ticket? The car is insured. Thanks.

If you drive in California and your license status in your home state or in California has been suspended, then you will lose your car for 30 days - 2,000 miles from home or not. You would also get a citation for a misdemeanor criminal offense. In some counties you might be required to post bail prior to release or citation if you live out of state.

Other states' laws might vary.
