No lease

Ok we have been in our apartment for 3 years and although were not a lease anymore we are month to month over these 3 years we have repeatedly asked for a copy of our lease we have asked for it more lately since there are repairs that need to be made in our apartment and all we keep is getting excuse after excuse as to why we cant they still haven't given it to us....we dont know what to do is there a reason why they are so hell bent on not giving it to us...please advise

Did you not receive a copy of the lease you signed three years ago?

If repairs haven't been remedied, write a letter to the landlord documenting teh repairs required.
Include pictures of the areas needing to be fixed.
Keep copies for your records.
Allow the landlord time to respond, and set a deadline as to when you send a follow up letter (letter, not an email), send the letter via certified mail, return receipt requested, then wait.
