No pay for work done

My husband was by an independent contractor to paint houses he was told that would get paid cash money no taxes taken out payday would be on the 1 and 15 of the month he worked 44 hours at 15 dollars an hour this was on July 2013 he never got paid there were several others that got no pay is there anything we can do we probably will never see any money can this guy be reported?

You're working under the table - this generally means you're just as guilty.

If I were you, I would seek legitimate employment.

However, before he does, consider. Did he get ANY pay from this guy at all? And if so, did he report this income when he paid his taxes?

OP, this is an expected outcome in many under the table, off the books deals. You get got. I'm sorry, but reporting the deadbeat won't likely get you recompense.
