I wanted to know if a landlord has the right to charge the tenant vacating (me) with shampooing the carpet and cleaning.
I did not leave a mess....the carpets were fine....just wear and tear. I was in the place for 1 yr 9 mos. I did clean, vacuum, etc. before leaving
This place was a summer shore rental that became year round.
I know they did the same cleaning before I moved in. I am sure they didn't charge the previous vacationer.
I think $125.00 is a lot for cleaning.
They also requested that I possibly leave before my lease was up so they could get the place ready. I did...2 weeks early.
Any help here?
