I won a judgement for $3100 and I attempted to obtain financial information from the debtor through an interrogatory in VA. However, person never showed up. The judge asked me what I wanted him to do and I didn't know what to say. We postponed until this Wed where the judge will ask me again, what next. What are my options?

Does the judgment debtor have any assets you can latch onto?

check with the court to see if your state allows you to serve an information subpoena. This will require the judgment debtor to disclose all his personal asset information to you. If he fails to comply, file a motion to enforce litigant's rights. If he still refuses to answer the information subpoena, the motion will result in an order for his arrest. Then you can file for a warrent for his arrest. That means if he gets pulled over for speeding and gets his record checked, the police will take him to jail and will not release him until he discloses all personal asset information. A complicated procedure, yes, but that is your option.
