12 years ago I started work with a company in Tennessee, at that time I signed (I believe) a non compete that stated if I left i would not work for a competitor for two years after leaving, or within a 90 mile radius of ANY office. 4 years into it, I was promoted and relocated to Texas to open a new office, I do not believe at that time I signed a new non compete, (but i may have I'm not 100% sure) my question is now 9 years later I have been demoted, and they are talking a pay cut, can they enforce the original non compete if I move back to Tennessee? If I did sign a new one in moving to Texas would the demotion have an effect on it?? I want to move back due to family obligations but i am worried what the company may try, I have to feed my family I just don't want to do it with this company any more,
