Is this normal? My Atty has a response drawn up, but he says that we don't have to file a response if we can come to a settlement before our waiting period for the divorce is up. Is this right? There were so many lies in his divorce decree and to not answer and let all of that stay as is is a bit unsettling. Thanks!

You paid the attorney to represent you.

You should discuss your impressions and desires with your attorney.

If your wishes are not addressed by your attorney, you might need to hire another.

Personally, what harm is there in a settlement?

Don't worry about anything on paper unless it comes in the form of a court order.
