My husband and I were going to move into a house on a rent to own program. After talking with the owner of the house, we agreed on a date to move in and we were going to meet and sign the papers this weekend.

This morning, I received a text from her saying that her business partner no longer wants to do a lease to own and wants to let the house sit on the market until the economy changes.

The problem is that the woman we originally were working with advised us to go ahead and give notice to our current landlord, which we did and now, we are looking at not having a place to live at the end of February.

Do I have any rights in this situation?

Just because you gave notice does not mean you have to move. Notify your landlord that you won't be leaving as you had expected. You are under no obligation whatsoever to move out.

Next time, don't give notice unless and until the deal has been fully consummated.
