I rent an apartment in Saint Paul, Minnesota for almost 2 years. I decide to leave. My lease was 1 Year.
It's the 08/06/09 and I want to leave the apartment the 09/30/09.

My contract with the owner says:

"TERMINATION: This lease and the tenancy hereby granted may be terminated at any time after a period of one year tenancy, by either tenant or landlord, with or without cause or reason, provided however, that the party intending to terminate the tenancy must give to the other party not less than sixty days prior written notice thereof."

Do I really have 60 days? It's not just one Month?
That means I am going to pay for October?

Thank you for your answer

You signed a contract (lease) that says 60 days is requred. You could be forced to pay an additional months rent if you violate the agreement you signed

Different dates of vacating

In my lease, it says I need to give a 60 day written notice for vacate otherwise it will go to a month to month lease. However, at the end of my contract it says that I need to provide a 30 day notice to vacate.

Which one do I go by?

Thanks:)
